Before the pandemic, I worked with models to bring my concepts to life. During the lockdown with so much quiet around me, I found that my mind was on fire; I had ideas but was unable to work with models to tell my stories. And that's how the spread of COVID-19 and the resulting lockdowns turned me into a self-portrait artist. I also turned 40 during the year 2020, so I embarked on a 40-day long self-portrait project leading up to my 40th birthday. While it was challenging to see myself and all my flaws on the screen, I learned to love my body again.
